WOW
The Vampire Diaries was actually pretty awesome. I was a bit afraid since it was A) on the CW B) it's on at 8pm and C) it's a vampire love story.
I haven't read Twilight, nor have I seen the movie. I'm not saying I never will, but the way the fans act, it turns me off to wanting anything to do with the series. I know it's not all fans, but of course you only hear about the crazy ones.
I drool over hot guys and become fanatic over things, but not to the point where I'm A) stalking the actors/ musicians/ whoever B) get so defensive over opinions that I sound like a bitch and C) cry and/or faint at the site of said actors/ musicians/ whoever.
Anyway, I don't watch True Blood either but I had liked Moonlight. I like vampires, but not usually such obvious love stories, you know? I don't know how else to explain it. Mick liked whatshername but the episodes weren't always revolved around that.
Whatever. TVD didn't bother me at all, so that's cool. Unfortunately, it's on opposite the NBC comedies I like (excluding the SNL Update that's going to be on for about 8 weeks but then the new show Community will move there and I'm hoping I'll like it with Joel McHale). ALSO, the new show FlashForward is on at the same time. Like wtf, people?
I need a dang Tivo.

Glee was awesome. I'm absolutely loving this show. It's my new Pushing Daisies without the pie maker. I still can't believe that show is cancelled. I'm continuing my year of mourning.
I just can't believe that reality TV hasn't fizzled out yet. I like competition shows (some of them anyway) like Top Chef, Project Runway and The Amazing Race. I can't watch Survivor anymore because I haven't cared for anyone in years. The last season was the Palau season where Ian SHOULD HAVE WON. Now it's the same every year- there's always people who are soooooo shocked when people turn against them. IT'S A GAME FOR A MILLION DOLLARS! You're not there to make friends. Good Lord.
But why, WHY do people care to watch shows that just follow complete attention whores during their stupid lives? I will never understand.
So I just hope Glee sticks around. Please, Fox, don't pull an ABC or a CW (Reaper) and cancel a great show.
And people, WATCH IT, DANGIT!

Enjoying the fall-like weather. Beautiful. I'm sitting here burning a Lakeside Birch scented candle, just finished a Hazelnut hot chocolate and watching "Pride & Prejudice". I ready for summer to officially end and the leaves to change. I want to go apple picking and just enjoy everything the autumn brings.

Although I'm missing the Land o Lakes hot chocolate flavors of Crème Brûlée and Madagascar Vanilla. The latter tasted exactly like liquid butter cookie. I'm not kidding. Everyone thought I was crazy until my brother had one and he was all "Wow, it really does." But I've only had the pleasure of drinking them from a variety pack from two Christmases ago. They seem to have retired the flavors. Drat it all.

Ah, well.

Yesterday was my baby's 1st birthday.

Today my sister tells me I'm going to be an aunt. An aunt to an actual human, mind you, not just her cat.

Wow.

Auntie Ra.... I like it :)

Star Trek was so good. It really was. Casting was awesome, acting was terrific, the story was engaging....
It was just great, dammit.
And Zach Quinto was so perfect as Spock. And I loved old Spock XD
And Scotty.
And Bones.
And Kirk.
Weeeeeeeeee!

And I got the Kirk and Uhura glasses from Burger King today but they were out of Spock! And I called another BK and was all "Do you have any of the Spock Star Trek glasses left?" and they're all "No just Kirk." and I'm all "Will you be getting any more or is this it?" and they're all "We should be getting some this week."

So we'll see, but I'm calling another BK a little further away tomorrow :)

And even though I'm totally in love with this movie and ZQ Spock (and Simon Pegg Scotty), I'm still in a complete Star WARS mood all thanks to my Lego SW game for the Wii. I need to watch my original Episodes tomorrow and I need to get the prequel tril for the sheer fact that Ewan McGregor Obi Wan is just love.

So I went to ew.com today and there was this article of the Top 50 Sad Songs or something like that. They don't even list "Baby Mine" on it but they had THIS picture (in which they added the ipod to...)

D""""": HOW FREAKING CUTE/SAD IS HE!? I just want to squeeze him!
I haven't watched "Dumbo" in probably 2 decades. I'm serious. 9 years old doesn't seem that far sometimes but when I think that I just turned 29, yeah, that was a long time ago. I don't think I could actually watch "Dumbo" now- I'd cry throughout the movie!
Ah, female hormones.

On another note: "Star Trek" tickets are on sale. omg. What do I do?

Edit: (see userpic) I couldn't help it. I want to eat him up. btw, I just remembered that I think this pic of him is actually when he's drunk.......... uh, of course I can't even remember what he got drunk on.

Ahhhhhh.
Relaxing at home- my parents' home. I still call it home as I haven't been in my own place long enough and it's only a small apartment where I don't plan to live all my life. My "home" will be my own house whenever I get one, but for now, "home" is where I've lived 25 years of my life.
I brought both babies with me. I wasn't planning on bringing them with me once I got Éowyn, but my dad hadn't met her yet and I wanted my relatives to meet her as well. My grandparents, one aunt and cousin met her and love her. How can you not when she's soft, pretty and won't get any bigger than she is now?
My grandmother loves my Willow though. She's all "Oh she's so beautiful. Pure black and those big eyes." XD She's ma honey. Willow's not exactly happy though. She loves being back home but I think she's horribly pissed Éowyn is here when this is HER place. She's been either upstairs of downstairs away from Éowyn, which is fine. You can't blamer her when our place is so much smaller.
I thought they were bonding yesterday in the car though as Willow was laying right next to Éowyn (who was still in her carrier) the whole ride.
Oh well. I'm sure they'll be fine when we get back to our place......... I hope the car ride goes just as well (if not better).

Anyway, happy Easter :)

I OD'd on beta-carotene last week. I didn't realize you could do that, let alone I didn't realize that broccoli AND romaine lettuce both had it in them. My finger nails turned orange like I had eaten cheetos or hot wings or something and I hadn't had anything messy orange in I can't even begin to guess how long. Very bizarre. But I'm back to normal now.
Except for this headache.
I'm hungry.

I want to go to Japan at least once in my lifetime. I've been obsessed with their culture for more than a decade. I just love the little things, you know? Like kimonos and tatami floors and festivals and rock gardens. I guess because it's just sooooo different from here in the US, it's fascinating.
Whenever I get my own house... at some point in my life, I want it to have a hint of Japanese flair. Mainly, I love the back porches that lead to the garden and I'd probably have one of those short tables you have to sit on pillows at (is there a name for those?) My living room now has slight Asian accents- the pillows my mom made, my new candle holder I just bought and a very old tea set someone had made my grandmother and she let me have it when I moved up here last year. I think the woman who painted them was Korean, though, but I love it. Not that I have anything against Koreans, I'm just saying I don't believe it's Japanese :)

Ah well, I can only dream for now.

I want to go to Hawaii, too.

So far Éowyn's nicknames are:

Tiny (because she is)
Stinker (because she is)
Wackadoodle (because she goes freaking insane)

Willow, my Dollface, has upgraded to Boos and Boobie, which was Jasmine's nicknames all the time and I never thought I'd use them on Willow. I kind of didn't want to but they just blurt out. I think because she's really been reminding me of Jazy lately- I think because she's been more cautious of the baby and just watching from a distance which Jazy did when we got Willow. She's still my honey- she hears my car door when I get home from work and runs to the window to watch me walk up the walkway and will still come over to me when she thinks the baby isn't looking. lol

And she loves when I growl like a little dog.... I'm not sure why but it gets her really lovey then.

I never watched "My Wife and Kids" all the time when it was on- but I LOVE watching the repeats now... and I never knew it was canceled after a CLIFFHANGER! I'm truly pissed. Booooooo.

Last night's dream: Someone I know (I think it was my sister) was sitting on a couch and a low coffee table is in front of the couch and on the table is a little button pin. My "sister" says "That's for you." I pick it up and the pin has a picture of The Comedian on it and I say "Oh, thanks! He's my favorite character."
Um... *^_^ OK, I have to admit, there's something about Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Comedian that, I don't know, rubs me the right way. Heh. That has to be the only reason I'd dream that way since 1) I've never read the comics and 2) I don't watch "Grey's Anatomy".
The thing is, I wasn't going to see The Watchman in theaters....... but after that dream, I kind of want to. Dreams always do that to me!
So we'll see.

Things I've found out Éowyn does the same as Willow:

1) likes drinking water from the dirty dishes in the sink
2) tries walking away with the feather attached to the "fishing pole" toy
3) tries to bury her food with the linoleum floor
4) tears through the house like a bat out of hell

So little Éowyn is sick- most likely from the stress of coming into a new house... and Willow not being happy about it. She has to stay in her room because I don't need Will getting sick and I have to give her this liquid medicine. I hope she doesn't fuss too much. The only medicine I've ever been able to give one of my cats by myself were eyedrops for Jasmine. Pills and stuff you had to give orally, my dad had to help.

Willow got sick, in a way, when I first got her. About a month after, she had worms, and then the vet gave her her shots and a WHOLE deworming pill and her little body couldn't take it. She was still active, but she wasn't eating. I had to bring her back so they could give her an appetite stimulant and nutrients.

Ah, the stress of having children.

So, I just hope the medicine works and she's better in a week. It would also be nice if Willow could relax- I don't need her getting sick, too, but she's still not that happy about Éowyn. I'm still positive she will get there, but it'll just take a bit more time. I think it was easier with our other cats because 1) we were in a bigger house and 2) there were more people around to give them all attention. I'm the only one who can try and keep them both happy, and when I can't do it together, it's a little difficult.

Please, Lord, let it all be OK! -_-*

So I got a kitty on Saturday! I broke down and bought a purebred Abyssinian whom I named Éowyn (I couldn't name her Pippin- Abys are way too elegant looking). She's 6 months old, which is older than I originally wanted, but she's only 4lbs and won't get bigger than about 6lbs! I never realized they were that small... my Willow looks like a giant!
And Will's not happy. I feel so bad, because she doesn't understand that I got Éowyn for her so she's not lonely when I'm at work during the day. All my cats I ever had wasn't happy when we got another cat, but Willow has always been a little more judgmental towards certain people and practically any animal she's met, so I'm not sure exactly how long it may take until she accepts Éowyn, but I hope it's not too long.
She's not happy with me either. She'll be OK, but she still hasn't sat with me on the couch since Friday. She slept with me last night until I fed her at about 5am and when I woke back up around 8, she was in her cat perch. I just hope she doesn't hold a grudge against me for the rest of her life like she seemingly has with my sister and my aunt. I'd like to think she wouldn't since she sees me everyday and I feed her and I'm her MOTHER. *sigh* I just can't help but think the worst scenario.
Oh..... as I was typing she jumped up on the couch with me! ... eh, she hissed when I tried to pet her. I think she smells Éowyn who was up on the couch with me earlier. She's just got to get used to the smell. She's probably thinking "I still love you, mom, but I'm really pissed at you right now." That's OK- she's allowed. Like I said, I just hope it doesn't last a long time.
Maybe I should cover myself in catnip.
